Hey GIRL (that’s you, our Grace In the Race Ladies) and all the dads reading this week:
(Moms, please pass this one along to the dads in your life!)
Tomorrow is Father's Day - a day to celebrate, honor, and/or remember our dads, grandpas, uncles, husbands, and, all the men who don the title.
I'm a self-proclaimed "daddy's girl." My dad is my hero! He is kind, loving, intelligent, hard-working, fair, even-tempered, friendly, and unwavering in his commitment to his wife and family. He values personal growth and is always working to be the best version of himself! He took me to my first personal development conference when I was in high school. He also has a terrific sense of humor, a joyful laugh, and an infectious smile that he partners with his very distinguished mustache. Oh, and he the loudest sneezes you'll ever hear (which I inherited). Sneezes aside, I'm truly the luckiest daughter in the world!
In writing the newsletter this week, Amanda and I realized that not only do we both have moms named Linda, but we have both have dads who are serious sneezers! Once Amanda's dad starts, it takes him an hour to stop sneezing! I can't even imagine!
We wish all the dads out there the happiest of Father's Days! My dad is high-risk so I'm not able to hug him until this coronavirus is under control so, if you're able to hug yours, squeeze a little extra for me tomorrow!
Thank you for being here. Enjoy the rest of your weekend and may it kick off an extraordinary week!
Love & Grace,
Rachel (& Amanda)

FAVORITES OF THE WEEK . . .
Recipe: Old Bay Grilled Chicken Wings. A friend made these for Joe and Amanda one time and they had to have the recipe! It's super simple: oil your grill and liberally season the wings with Old Bay Seasoning while cooking. If you'd prefer a little more instruction, check out this recipe for a similar version. These are great served with a grilled Caesar salad!
Product: Bike Phone Mount. Amanda's husband loves this because it keeps his phone handy and safe while taking a family bike ride, or one on his own.
App: Take charge of your finances with Mint's online budget planner.

Grace in Home | Week #1 of 8 Why do we spring clean? This week we shift to our next 8-week series where we'll cover all things HOME! As I sat down to write this issue, I knew I wanted to dip a toe into the topic of spring cleaning. It got me wondering where this idea of spring cleaning came from, so I Googled it. I found an article called How Spring Cleaning Became an Annual Tradition and was surprised to find that it is rooted in religion, culture and biology. Who knew? This passage from the...
Grace in Growth | Week #8 of 8 I'm not a goal setter There, I said it. In my 45+ years, I've simply not had success with goal setting. As someone who has spent most of her life as a self-proclaimed over-achiever, that comes as a surprise even to me. However, as a highly sensitive, anxiety-ridden person, I've had to throw in the towel because the energy drain of the repeated failure is too daunting. Are goals not new year's resolutions in sheep's clothing?... Bound to be eaten by the big, bad...
Grace in Growth | Week #7 of 8 The Spring Sting Transitioning from winter to spring is always full of hope and renewal. It is also full of over-programming (school), over-scheduling (us) and overwhelm (still us). Here's how it happens... We work through the busy end-of-year holiday rush only to land in the funk of February; which, if we're being honest starts sometime in mid-January when the guilt of "failed"resolutions sets in. It is literally a cold and dark time which can feel dismal and...
